I grew up in a family owned flower shop, My Grandma opened the first flower shop in Belfair, Naomie's Flowers. My mom Linda bought it from her and I worked by her side learning all that I could for the next 15 years. in 98 she retired and I went to work for a couple long time florists in the area. In 2007 an oportunity presented itself and I purchased Jeanette's Old town flowers in Silverdale. In 2009 I moved the shop to the Allyn community where the Jeanette's was replaced with Maddy's; my daughter who has been a huge presence in the shop  since being born in 2007. In September of 2013 I had to make a hard descision and closing my storefront was a better choice. With the cost of overhead and the big box/grocery stores cutting more and more into the bottom line I would have to raise prices something I had already done and was not willing to do this again. Though I no longer have the storefront I do have fresh flowers, gifts,and plants available at the Alyn market a family owned market in the Allyn center.
